Production Manager
This is an opportunity for a Production Manager to help to prepare the company for growth by improving production planning, optimising production flow, and bringing leadership to manufacturing H&S, Quality, Cost and Delivery objectives.
·Optimise production efficiency through quality, cost, and delivery. Ensure each Team Leader understands and achieves their production plan objectives.
·Supervise, train and coach Team Leaders. Ensure each area follows good-practice and achieves objectives for H&S, equipment maintenance, internal audits and right first time.
·Ensure team is compliant with all relevant Health and Safety regulations and ISO procedures.
·Oversee quality control. Provide feedback on quality improvement areas to directors.
·Manage and issue orders to suppliers and sub-contractors.
·Identify and implement continuous improvement programs.
·Manage time, attendance and disciplinary records.
·Conduct regular performance evaluations and maintain organised records.
·Be responsible for stock control.
Skills and Experience
·Proven supervisory experience in batch and process manufacturing.
·Knowledge of working in ISO9001 & ISO14001 workplaces with a high level of H&S and COSHH standards.
·Experienced in people management (from training to disciplinaries).
·Appreciation of CAD CAM, bill of materials and cost estimating would be ideal, but hands on skills are not required in these activities.
·The candidate must be proactive, people-centric, and solution-oriented, with strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
