Operations Manager

  • Operations manager job managing field operations – field service engineers and field technicians

  • Leadership role in a £4 million turnover business (30 headcount). Flexible on your background (sector wise)

Salary TBC but we anticipate between £50,000 and £65,000 + executive company car + profit share. This is still being defined and is just a guide at this stage. De-select if you are seeking more than £70,000 as a basic salary.

You will ideally have experience of working in small to medium sized expanding businesses where you need to ‘wear a number of hats’ and really make things happen ; we need a person of action!  


This Operations Manager jobs role will suit:

  • Must be within 20 miles of Coalville LE67 – this is an ‘on site’ role managing the business (with a bit of travel to customers ; but really it’s 90% + time in the business running it)

  • What we do need is someone who really wants to grab a business. You will have worked in SMEs in the past and be the sort of person who treats it like your own business – you will be inquisitive and keen to learn the business.

  • You will be the sort of person who is an excellent leader but also someone who doesn’t mind rolling your sleeves up (jumping in the car and going to see a customer when there is an issue / key project etc).

  • Someone who will set objectives / targets and really drive things and make things happen.

  • A good leader – someone who will put an arm around the team. They are very engaged and friendly so we want a conscientious and people focused person

  • Customer focused. The sort of person who jumps on things really quickly when it’s needed by the customer and whips the business into action when there is an issue or when it’s important to a customer (key deadline etc). A person of action !

  • Ideally some experience of managing H&S as this role ensures H&S is correct across the business – in the field as well as internally
